Breath yourself into peace and relaxation

 

The good thing about this technique is you can do it wherever you are and no one has to know, waiting for that meeting, on a train, bus or whenever you find yourself getting a little uncomfortable.

All you have to do is breath in for the count of 7 and breath out for the count of 11. As long as you breath out for longer than you breath in, the body has no choice but to start to relax. It may take a few minutes but the body will respond regardless of what your mind is thinking. It may seem a little strange at first, but doing this regularly causes your general anxiety level to come down, and it actually becomes harder to be stressed.
