Post Traumatic Stress Post-traumatic stress is a psychological disorder following a traumatic event. For instance, if someone is involved in a car accident, then it is possible they may find it hard to travel in a car again, or even mentioning a car journey can bring feelings of anxiety. It may manifest in numerous ways. Common symptoms include, flashbacks, insomnia and nightmares. Symptoms can interfere with sleep patterns, relationships and daily responsibilities. Because the sufferer has experienced sever trauma, s/he may feel anxious around anything that might be associated with the initial event.
