Solution focused therapy

As a solution-focused therapist i do not overly concern myself with the past and believe that while understanding the past can be helpful, it is not always necessary to know how something became broken to be able to fix it.

If someone had a memory that is upsetting, just getting a little background information would be enough for the therapist to be able to de-sensitise it. Unnecessary digging in the past is not what i do.
Sometimes reliving the past isn't always that helpful.

Some people know how to feel uncomfortable, so the aim of solution focused therapy is to make you feel better as soon as possible, usually within just one session, rarely more than five.
And you will always get positive results after every session.
