Typical
panic attack symptoms
These
are varied and differ from person to person, but can include;
-
Impaired
rational thought.
-
Increased
heart rate, as the body pumps blood to the major muscles.
-
Dry
mouth, you don't need to produce saliva for immediate survival.
-
Pupils
dilate, as the brain looks for the danger picking up as much light as
possible.
-
Sweating
hands, as they afford better grip when dry.
-
Upset
stomach, or feeling as if you are going to vomit. The body shuts down what
it doesn't need for immediate survival (digestion) also making it lighter so
you can fight or run faster.
-
Dizziness,
as a result of hyperventilation.
-
Tremors,
as there is a massive adrenalin rush.
These are
only a few of the symptoms because we are all individuals and can experience the
same thing but in different ways.
Be assured that if you are feeling the effects of high anxiety it may feel distressing,
but the body is only doing what it is designed to do (keep you safe) it is just
over doing it at the moment.
This in built alarm can be re-set using the VK technique (fast phobia cure).
