Home Frequently Asked Questions Psychic Surgery
What does a Reiki session consist of...?You relax, fully dressed, on a
couch or seated while the healer holds his hands on or above you. A treatment
can last an hour or longer depending on the treatment required. In the western
world many practitioners use the standard hand positions and commonly a full
treatment is given covering all the important organs of the body. Back to TopWhat will I experience during a Reiki session...?I will have to say that it differs from person to
person and possibly also between different sessions. Remember that all healing starts a process of release, this could be emotions or even toxins in your body that you need to get rid of. You might initially even feel worse than before, this is known as a healing crisis, but this will soon pass. You can help your body by drinking lots of water. Back to TopWill I have to remove my clothing...? Absolutely not. Reiki works just as well through clothing as on bare skin so you will never be asked to remove any item of clothing except if you are wearing a heavy overcoat so you will be more comfortable, and you may be asked to remove your shoes, for your comfort and to save any damage to the Reiki couch. Is Reiki safe...?It is believed that Reiki energy works only for the Highest Good of each person and can NOT cause harm. It is safe for anyone and for any situations including pregnant women and children. Back to TopWhat can Reiki cure...?It is important to remember that Reiki is an increased (chi) energy flow that helps your energetic body. While it is used to assist medicine (not replace care under a doctor) the benefits for each person will be individual. Reiki is not a CURE ALL, but can be very beneficial as supplementary care. It also is a wonderful aid in preventive medicine. Having said that, there have been many documented cures of many so called untreatable illnesses using Reiki. Back to TopCan Reiki be used on animals...?Yes. In my experience Reiki works even more quickly on animals than on people. I suspect this is because animals are less likely to emotionally hold on to their disease and pain Back to TopIs Reiki a religion...?No, Reiki is not a religion, nor is it based on the acceptance of any religious doctrine. Having a belief system is not a requirement for Reiki to work. Reiki does not infringe on anyone’s right to believe what he or she wishes. However, Reiki’s principles are spiritual in nature and do encourage spiritual empowerment and growth.Back to Top |
